Work Location: Candidates are required to work at various locations in Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver, per company contracts.
Wage rate: $ 30.00 per hour (40 hours per week)
Education: High School
Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Language: Basic Knowledge of English.
Job Duties:
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitute, and other materials.
• Go through given specifications, calculate requirements.
• Study specifications in blueprints, sketches or building plans to prepare project layout and determine dimensions and material required.
• Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in other establishments.
• May prepare cost estimates for clients.
• Maintain safe and secure working environment.
• Fit, install and trim such as molding, stairs and hardware.
• Assemble and fasten material to make framework or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails and nail guns.
Working setting: The candidate should be available to work full-time in the morning or day or evening or on weekends, Overtime if required.
Other Information: Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada. Position is available and open to Aboriginal youth, new immigrants and persons with disabilities.
Working Conditions: Candidate should be able to lift weight (50lbs). Should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, rain, or shine.
