Aeroquest Mapcon Inc. located at 1214 Austin Avenue Coquitlam, BC, V3K 3P5 is looking for a Senior Photogrammetry Technician with extensive experience, specialized training and exceptional skills in the areas of photogrammetric stereo compilation, geospatial data processing and 3D data quality management techniques. The salary is $75,000 per annum working an average of 40 hours per week. This is a full-time, year-round position. We offer benefits including extended health benefits, vision, long term disability and life insurance. We require candidates with at least 10 years experience with photogrammetric data collection.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for stereo data collection, classification, 3D geospatial data review, editing and estimation
• Perform photogrammetry related day-to-day tasks
• Coordinates quality control procedures, naming conventions, troubleshooting, and quality checks.

Requirements and Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience with photogrammetric data collection on Softcopy photogrammetric workstations
• University degree or diploma in geomatics engineering, surveying, mathematics or related area
• Experience with numerous geomatic processing software solutions
• American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) Certification preferred. A candidate with equivalent schooling and experience and the desire to complete an ASPRS Certification would also be considered.
• Excellent stereo vision
• Ability to compile, review and reconcile data for accuracy, completeness and compliance
• Responsible for quality control management for up to four offshore vendors delivering multiple projects apiece. The position requires understanding a complicated planimetric specification(s) and examining submissions from offshore vendors for compliance. The candidate will be expected to build and enhance the partnership with offshore vendors via clear and concise communication of the errors and oversights found, as well as suggestions as how best to review and avoid these issues in subsequent submissions.
