Job Description:

Donohoe Living Landscapes is looking for a Landscape Architectural Technician who can efficiently and effectively assist in the operations and execution of our projects and cater to our client’s landscape design needs, keeping in mind our core focus: Landscape as Art.
Main Duties include:
Survey and assess sites
Prepare drawings, sketches and reports and perform other duties to assist landscape architects in designing landscaped environments
Plan and co-ordinate the growth and use of plants for landscaping, ornamental uses and other purposes
Manage landscaping projects
Communicating with customers, suppliers and team members in a professional manner
Overseeing all tangible aspects of assigned projects
Contributing ideas to Landscape Architects to help build out efficiencies in the field and between the office and the field
Monitoring and updating management on labour budgets throughout the course of the project
Preparing documentation for design folders and reports
Calculating design quantities for materials and preparation of cost estimates
Playing a key, hands-on role in the entire process from design to development
Employment Requirements:
Must hold a British Columbia Class 5 driver’s license with clean drivers abstract
Completion of a two-to-three-year college program in a discipline such as agronomy, arboriculture, horticulture, landscaping, landscape design or landscape technology is required
Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a Landscape Architectural Technician or equivalent, related profession, servicing primarily residential properties
Strong, proven, technical skill set paired with exceptional design capabilities
Desire and capability to propel complex projects forward
Portfolio of previous projects executed under your leadership, or with your assistance (preferred)
2 years in a supervisory position in the landscape industry (preferred)
Be physically fit and capable of lifting 40-80 pounds regularly
Adhere to company safety standards and policies
