JOB DESCRIPTION
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Quantasphere Business Solutions Inc. will plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate, through middle managers, the operations of their organization in relation to software technological objectives. The CTO will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of Quantasphere Business Solutions Inc.'s technology strategy, infrastructure, and operations.

WAGE: $60/Hr
LOCATION: Edmonton, AB
The duties of the Chief Technology Officer at Quantasphere Business Solutions Inc. will include but are not limited to:
• Provide leadership and direction to software development teams, ensuring that projects are well-managed, follow best practices, and align with the organization's goals.
• Establish coding standards, development methodologies, and best practices to maintain consistent code quality across projects.
• Implement code reviews and quality assurance processes to identify and address issues early in the development cycle.
• Define and evolve the organization's software architecture, including microservices, APIs, databases, and integration strategies.
• Ensure that architectural decisions promote scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions
• Allocate material, human and financial resources to implement organizational policies and programs; establish financial and administrative controls; formulate and approve promotional campaigns; and approve overall human resources planning
• Select middle managers, directors or other executive staff; delegate the necessary authority to them and create optimum working conditions
• Represent the organization, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the organization, in negotiations or other official functions.
QUALIFICATION
• A university degree in computer science, engineering, business administration, or other discipline related to the service provided is usually required.
• 3 - 5 years of experience as a middle manager in software development, communications or other business services are usually required.
• Specialization in a particular functional area or service is possible through specific university training in that area or through previous experience.
