Specific Skills
• Greeting children and families when they enter the facility.
• Check children into the appropriate program and ensure they notify the primary staff member of that child’s arrival.
• Welcome new families, answer questions about the program and provide information about the registration process.
• Hire, train, and supervise staff members
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the child care center
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding child care
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the center, including scheduling, curriculum development, and communication with parents
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and community members
• Provide communication to the team and share responsibilities with others in all aspects of the program.
• Answer phone calls and relay important information when required to primary staff
• members or the director.
