Terms of the Position:
- Terms: Permanent, Full-time
- Hours: 35-40 hours/week (day, morning, evening, weekend)
- Wage: $70/hour
- Work Conditions/Setting:
o Welding training school (education, private training organization or college)
o Trade work and shop fabrication
Skills and Experience Requirements:
- Education:
o Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Minimum Experience Requirements:
o At least 3-5 years or more experience working in a senior or executive level position in the welding industry or a related industry
o Demonstrate experience managing a private welding training school
o Demonstrate knowledge of educational funding and licensing requirements
o Demonstrate knowledge of resource allocation
o Demonstrate ability and previous experience developing and implementing financial plans and managing budgets of $500,000 to $1.5 million
o Possess experience effectively managing between at least 3-5 people
o Demonstrate proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Office, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word
o Demonstrate experience and knowledge in developing marketing campaigns/strategies

Job Duties:
- Develop and implement company mission, policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures.
- Develop, implement, review, and adjust marketing strategies as needed for the business’s growth and success.
- Develop and ensure compliance with a budget for the business and oversee overall financial matters for the company.
- Delegate and oversee/manage acquisition of all licensing, equipment, materials and other requirements to maintain a safe and operational business.
- Build and maintain relationships with Canadian welding industry participants, including but not limited to other welding schools, organizations and employers.
- Represent the company in all official functions and negotiate business agreements for services and products.
- Develop staff structure.
- Develop and oversee implementation of staff training protocols and development.
- Recruit, hire, train and oversee managers, staff and contractors.
- Ensure company and employees comply with all licensing and regulatory requirements at all times.
- Develop, implement and ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
- Manage overall profitability by overseeing business operations and staff.
- Act as a visible presence in the daily operations of the company and observe and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.
