Specific Skills
• Responsible for general safety, hoist inspections, problem-solving, and overall quality and timeliness of the repair, maintenance, cleaning, and servicing operations of the garage.
• Daily cleaning and servicing, preventive maintenance, unplanned work, and general and specialized repairs to provide clean, well-maintained, safe, and reliable vehicles.
• Supervise the repair, maintenance, modification, or installation of vehicle components and parts.
• Supervising a team of vehicle mechanics and electricians.
• Giving quotes and timescales for jobs
• Organising bookings for individual and corporate customers as well as managing staff shifts.
• Checking the work done by staff is of a high quality.
• Discussing work with customers and giving advice.
• Checking stock and ordering parts and equipment
• Recruiting and training or arranging for training of new staff and apprentices.
