We are currently seeking a User Support Technician to provide first-line technical support to employees and customers experiencing difficulties with computer hardware and with computer applications and communications software. This position will report directly to the Information Systems Manager at our Surrey, BC location.
As a User Support Technician, you will be responsible for the below key duties:
~ Communicating electronically and in person with computer users experiencing difficulties to determine and document problems experienced
~ Consulting user guides, technical manuals and other documents to research and implement solutions
~ Providing advice and training to users in response to identified difficulties
~ Participating in the redesign of applications and other softwares
~ Setting up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software
~ Providing business systems, network and Internet support to users in response to identified difficulties
~ Assisting the Information Systems Manager to implement the security protocols to ensure highest standards of digital security for client information
~ Creating reports for system malfunctions or recurring issues clients and employees might experience pertinent to the IT infrastructure (hardware and software) at the firm
~ Participate in projects related to technology implementation, upgrades, and migrations
~ Setting up and configuring desktops, laptops, and printers
~ Creating up-to-date lists of hardware and software inventory and providing regular updates to the department head
~ Offer remote and/or in-person support with the system maintenance and updates
~ Assist in executing technological strategies promoting digitalization of the systems and processes
Education
~ A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
~ A university degree or College Diploma in Information Technology or Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services or equivalent experience is preferred.

Wages:
$31/hr / 40 HRS PER WEEK
