Main Duties of the Painter-Motor Vehicle Repair (NOC 72411):
• Assess and estimate costs for paint and parts
• Refinish vehicles like file, grind and sand repaired vehicle to prepare them for painting
• Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers
• Apply masking to the bumpers, windows and trim and use a spray gun to apply primer
• Mix paint, blend and match colors
• Complete repair work on vehicle in timely manner
• Provide customer service, such as answering all customer inquiries and explaining the complete repair process
• Work directly with customers to discuss what needs to be fixed
• Determine necessary application of paint for a thorough coat
• Check for runs or sags in the paint to ensure the quality of the product
• Adjust and align all parts before securing all body parts for post-care procedures
• Inspect vehicles before handing back to owners
• Maintaining a clean and organized work space adhering to Health & Safety Standards for shop tools and equipment.
Requirements:
Completion of Secondary School is required.
Minimum one year hand-on experience is required in related field.
Wage:
$26.30/ hour, 35 hours/week
