Position: Business Development officer (NOC 41402)
We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our Canada team at AIRLINEPROS INCORPORATED. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional commercial results to our Airline clients and partners worldwide. AirlinePros Canada has been appointed to represent one of the leading International air carriers. The selected Business Development Officer will play a crucial role in driving growth for a leading international airline, developing strong client relationships, and expanding our presence within the assigned region, working within a Team environment.

Location of work: 7030 Woodbine Ave. Suite 500, Markham, Ontario L3R 6G2
Remote work availability: No
Salary: Depending on Experience and Qualifications – between CAD $66,300 to C$77,350
Minimum : 30-35 hours of work-weekly

Job duties and responsibilities not limited to:
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company’s sales and profit targets
• Plan, direct and evaluate the Airline commercial activities to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining existing client relationships to maximize revenue and profitability.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential growth opportunities within the airline travel industry.
• Building relationships with Business or Corporate clients, managing negotiations of sales contracts, and collaborating with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and customer service, to ensure alignment of sales efforts with company goals and customer needs.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders at airlines, travel agencies, and other relevant Travel organizations.
• Review and evaluate development proposals and provide advice on procedures and requirements for approval
• Development of commercial & contract discussions with travel industry clients, ensuring terms and agreements are favorable to the Airline in question.
• Provide regular reports, and updates to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics, opportunities, and challenges within the region.
• Elaborate Marketing and event initiatives, in addition to representing the Airline at trade shows, relevant Chambers of Commerce venues, Embassy and Consulate gatherings.
• Initiate market development initiatives and work with corporate, travel & other industrial associations, government agencies, and community and business associations to coordinate business activities.
• Address queries that business partners may have while carrying out day to day business activities
• Review and prepare commercial proposals for revenue growth and provide guidance on operational procedures
• Prepare reports & analyze data on prevalent industry trends
• Generate & follow leads on new customers, gather market information on competitors.
• Identify prevalent marketing trends & report to head office for implementation
• Promote & develop strategies to promote bookings thru online website
• Download daily reports, analyze & share conclusions on daily basis with management
• Identify B2B opportunities for marketing the product
Skill requirements for the position (including education and work experience):
• Completion of a bachelor's degree economics, commerce, business administration or public administration is required
• At least 3 years of experience in business development or a related occupation are required
• In-depth knowledge of aviation market
• Candidates having experience with a LCC carrier will be preferred
• Candidate with practical knowledge of GDS & CRS will be preferred
• Hand-on with MS – office & reporting tools such as Oracle & Cirium
• Demonstrated patience, tact and diplomacy while collaborating with a diverse team of industry professionals.
• Must be able to evaluate and negotiate airline-agency commercial incentive agreements.
• Ability to multi-task, remain cool and keep up in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent, interpersonal and communication experience, verbal, written and administrative skills.
