Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Confined spaces. Tasks: Clean and maintain work space. Read electrical schematics, blueprints and other technical diagrams. Bolt, screw, clip, weld, solder or otherwise fasten motor vehicle parts and components together. Operate and tend automated assembling equipment. Connect cables, tubes and wires to complete assemblies and installations. Position and install parts, subassemblies and accessories. Fit and adjust parts. Check motor vehicle exterior priming and colour coats, sealers and glaziers. Mark, record and report motor defects to be repaired. Test motor vehicle electrical assemblies, equipment and wiring for proper performance. Inspect auto parts for defects. Inspect fully assembled motor vehicles for defects. Ensure that previously noted defects have been corrected. Drive and test motor vehicles on roll testing device to ensure that transmission, axle, engine and brakes function properly. Equipment and machinery experience: Automatic testing equipment. Power tools. Callipers. Meters. Inspection or testing specialization: Electrical assemblies, equipment and wiring. Fully assembled vehicles. Transmission, axle, engine and brakes. Vehicle exterior coatings or finishes. Installation specialization: Door panels. Doors. Hoods. Trunk lids. Vehicle windows, windshields and sunroofs. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Bending, crouching, kneeling.
