Securiguard Services Ltd. is seeking an Administrative Assistant in Burnaby. It is a full-time, permanent position, 40 hours/week, $25.00/hour. Vacation 4%. Extended health and dental benefits. Start date as soon as possible.
As an Admin Assistant, you will be expected to perform the following duties:
• Open and distribute incoming regular and electronic mail and other material and co-ordinate the flow of information internally and with other departments and organizations;
• Schedule and confirm appointments and meetings of employer;
• Order office supplies, uniforms and equipment, and maintain inventory;
• Answer telephone and electronic enquiries and relay telephone calls and messages;
• Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems; including staff files, and clearance paperwork.
• Determine and establish office procedures;
• Greet visitors, ascertain nature of business and direct visitors to employer or appropriate person;
• May compile data, statistics and other information to support research activities; including new hire information, clearance records and security compliances.
• May supervise and train office staff in procedures and in use of current software.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 2 years of administrative-related work experience preferred
• Excellent organization skills and ability to multitask
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Maintains professionalism and composure in challenging situations
• Proficient in spoken and written English
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Flexibility to work weekends and flexible hours
• Can provide at least one professional reference upon request
