To better assist our clients and help further with our operational efficiency, we are seeking a System Engineer to join our team at the Winnipeg location.
Job Duties:
1. Support the company’s technical and business decisions by assisting in product development, research concepts and plans;
2. Manage and monitor all infrastructure and system installations, including configurations, testing, and maintenance;
3. Create, maintain, and evaluate system automation plans and scenarios for assigned features;
4. Lead external interface discussion and communication of Modem system;
5. Deliver information about system status to the team and work cross-functionally to enhance the overall user experience of our platforms;
6. Thoroughly explore the features and look for weaknesses in logic and implementation;
7. Architect, develop, and maintain a debug knowledge base for the QA team;
8. Develop, upgrade and maintain an automated test system;
9. Strategic understanding of automation tools and frameworks, with hands-on ability to implement structures and automated regression tests;
10. Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor the progress and implementation of initiatives;
11. Participate in weekly peer system plan reviews;
12. Train junior engineers and guide them in completing the system projects.
Qualifications:
1. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related discipline is required;
2. At least three to five years of experience in IT administrator, system/software development environment, or system integration;
3. Experience and knowledge in security and network development;
4. Familiar with software & system development and QA architecting;
5. Substantial experience creating and maintaining frameworks library, preferably C/C++ level;
6. Profound knowledge in Data Base Design and SQL optimization;
7. Ability to work in a team setting with minimal supervision.
