  Description :  
• Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
• Bake mixed doughs and batters.
• Frost and decorate cakes or other baked goods.
• Ensure quality of products meets established standards.
• Draw up production schedule to determine type and quantity of goods to produce.
• Purchase baking supplies.
• May oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods.
• May hire, train, and supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff.

In addition to the daily responsibilities, the candidate will meet the following standards.
• Professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual.
• Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional service with a high level of attention to detail while adhering to The Bruce Hotel’s CAA/AAA 5 Diamond Standards.
• Flexible hours are required (evenings, weekends, holidays).
• Must have 5 years of supervisory experience as a baker.
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 50 lbs.
• Professional appearance appropriate for a luxury hotel.
Skills:
• Able to work at a rapid pace while maintaining attention to detail; ability to multitask.
• Skilled in time management.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• High level of communication skills to provide pleasant interaction with team members and guests.
• Managing and developing team members to achieve team objectives, and lead by example.
• Follow and execute training as required for new and existing team members.
• Using best judgment, decide in lieu of management as required.
