Salary
• $16.55/hr., paid bi-weekly.
Duties and responsibilities
• Preparing meals and snacks according to production sheets, recipes and other menu document as provided.
• Setting up equipment and supplies for food preparation.
• Multitasking and prioritizing tasks and ensuring that pizzas are prepared and delivered within a reasonable timeframe.
• Preparing all the necessary ingredients for making pizzas. This includes tasks such as slicing and chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and portioning out toppings.
• Monitoring ingredient levels, notifying management when supplies are running low, and assisting with inventory management.
• Communicating and collaborate with other kitchen staff, such as the prep cooks, servers, and dishwashers, to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintaining consistent quality in the pizzas and inspecting kitchens and food service areas
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment of the kitchen
• Assisting in the orientation and training of new team members.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
Education
• College diploma (Education in relevant trade is an asset)
Job Requirements
• Experience in same field is an asset
• Must work mixed shifts depending upon the schedule
• A friendly, enthusiastic attitude
• Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Physical requirements
• Standing for long periods of time
• Working in a hot kitchen environment
