The Job
We are seeking a Food Service Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of our food counter attendants and dish washers. This includes managing food preparation, ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen and its appliances like refrigerator, freezer, deep fryers, ovens, salad bars, etc., and maintaining quality control standards. The supervisor will also assist with food ingredients management, staff training, and scheduling to ensure smooth and efficient store operations.
Duties of the food service supervisor include:
• Oversee food ingredients management, ordering supplies, and maintaining ingredients levels to meet demand
• Ensure smooth operation of kitchen and the front counter, including ordering, food preparation, cooking, and packaging.
• Organize and coordinate shifts and timetables
• Maintain strict quality standards for both food and service
• Assist store manager in cost estimates and maintaining budget
• Track and document ingredients supplies, sales transactions and waste disposal
• Assist store manager in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees
• Supervise work area and equipment cleanliness and sanitization in compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements for the role:
• Completion of high school is required
• At least 1 year of work experience in a restaurant or a food service setting is required
• Previous managerial experience is highly desired
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Adapt to a fast-paced environment and continuously seeking out improvements to existing processes
