Specific Skills
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
• Load and unload goods
• Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• Communicate with dispatch
• Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection
• Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness; inspect all aspects of vehicle
• Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs, preventative maintenance
• Maintain log book for each trip
Transportation/Travel Experience
Long-haul

Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
Benefits:
• Company will be paying $650 of safety bonus to all the drivers who keep their record clean throughout the year.
• Attendance bonus of $500 will be given to our employees who work consistently with no absences.
• On job training will be provided to those who have little to no experience.
