Beyond the Spectrum is looking for a skilled, passionate, self-motivated, driven, reliable and enthusiastic Instructor of Person with Disabilities to provide full time therapy to our clients in-home, in school ,in childcare and in community settings. Our qualified professionals will provide evidence-based services that are synchronized, family-focused, compassionate to the needs, strengths, goals and unparalleled potential of each individual. Our Holistic approach is based upon the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) used to decrease problematic behaviours, increase communication, increase social interactions, teach self-regulation and functional living skills. All of our programs are supervised by a BCBA. We are accepting OAP/ childhood budget /and privately funded clients across the GTA.

On site- Work must be completed either at the physical clinic location or offsite at clients location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities/Tasks
Assess clients’ cognitive, social and emotional barriers to establish adaptation goals
Assess people’s physical limitations, orientation abilities and mobility to establish client rehabilitation
Instruct students in lip-reading, finger spelling and sign language
Instruct in the use of rehabilitative techniques, prosthetic devices and wheelchairs
Instruct students in formation and development of sound for speech using hearing aids and other devices
Assist students to develop life skills,
Collaborate with specialists to develop programs for clients' special needs,
Develop individualized education and intervention plans based on special needs of client to facilitate their readaptation and independence, objectives

Credentials- Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses - Behaviour management Certification
Experience and specialization
Target audience- Adults, Children, Persons who are deaf/hard of hearing, Persons who are hearing impaired, Persons who are intellectually impaired, Persons with physical disabilities, Persons with learning disabilities
Computer and technology knowledge- MS Office
