The Parone Stevenson Group Inc. DBA Excel Career College located at 9850 King George Blvd Suite 130 Surrey, British Columbia, V3T 0P9 is looking for a Student services Counsellor (NOC 41320) to assist learners make well-informed decisions about their educational options (full-time or part-time) by offering guidance and consultation on program and course selection needs, offering advice on specific program entrance requirements and procedures, offering successful applicant profile information and strategies for admission to competitive programs, offering advice on transfer credit, advanced placement, and laddering options to higher credentials, and providing relevant agency, counseling, and faculty referrals.

Job Duties
• Counsel students regarding educational, career or vocational issues
• Counsel students regarding personal and social issues
• Consult with teachers, parents, administrators and community agencies
• Co-ordinate the provision of counselling and information services to students, parents and teachers
• Refer students to other specialized services when required
• Arrange for recruitment of graduating students by employers
• Supervise peer counselling programs

Job Requirements:
Education:
• Completion of Secondary School is Required
• Completion of Diploma from a Post Secondary Institution is Required
• A bachelor's degree in counselling, career development, education or social sciences will be given the Preference

Experience:
• Relevant Experience of less than 1 year to 2 years is required.
