Responsibilities of a heavy equipment operators supervisor includes:
• Overseeing and organizing the work of employees operating cranes and other heavy equipment used in construction, paving, drilling, railway maintenance, and similar activities.
• Developing strategies to ensure work schedules are met and coordinate tasks with other project supervisors or managers.
• Order necessary materials and supplies.
• Address and resolve work-related issues and suggest improvements to enhance productivity.
• Provide training to workers or arrange for their training.
• Recommend hiring and promotion decisions.
• Prepare reports on production and other relevant activities.
• May manage the operations of the company.
• May also supervise, coordinate, and schedule the work of apprentices, helpers, and laborers involved in related tasks.
The successful candidate for this position will have the following skills and quali?cations:
• Completion of secondary school
• 3+ years of experience of supervising/coordination of workers who operate heavy equipment
• Proven ability to create and implement effective methods to achieve work schedules and coordinate project activities with other supervisors or managers.
• Demonstrated experience in requisitioning and managing materials and supplies necessary for project execution.
• Experience in training staff or organizing training programs to ensure skill enhancement and compliance.
• Proficiency in preparing detailed production reports and other relevant documentation.
• Proven experience in overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of a varied fleet of construction machinery, ensuring optimal performance, and minimizing downtime.
• Demonstrated ability to manage the procurement and efficient distribution of materials and equipment, enhancing resource utilization and overall project efficiency.
• Strong skills in addressing and resolving crew disputes and operational challenges, maintaining high morale and productivity throughout the project.
This is a full-time position with a fixed hourly salary of $35.56, based on a 40-hour work week. No benefits included.
