Job Duties:
Support the piping and steel fabrication work with design and project management
CAD design and drawing creation in an efficient manner with intuitive layout for communication
Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation and performance of piping and structures, components and systems
Select components for use in fabricated system based on many competing factors
Design the layout of piping for fluid considerations, pumping requirements, available supports and economics
Establish boundary conditions and operational considerations for piping stress analysis
Assist structural engineers with drawings, connections and layout of members for structural stress analysis
Source components to ensure they are readily available and economical
Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost and timing estimates, reports and design specifications for fabrications and systems
Supervise and inspect the installation, modification and commissioning of mechanical and structural systems at construction sites or in industrial facilities
Investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems
Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance
Supervise technicians, technologists and other engineers and review and approve designs, calculations and cost estimates

Skills Requirements:
Min 5 years experience
Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Wage: $39 CAD per hour
