JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES NOT LIMITED TO:
• Under the direction of physiotherapist, carry out treatment programs such as thermotherapy, traction, hydrotherapy and electrotherapeutic techniques
• Under the guidance of PT, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities to maximize their ability to independently manage daily activities.
• To coordinate and supervise other support staff in the clinic.
• Effectively maintain specified inventory and order physiotherapy supplies for the clinic.
• Perform key holding and day to day management duties if required, such as opening and closing the clinic, managing escalated complaints, developing and implementing marketing strategies and patient support.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION (INCLUDING EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE)
1. Completion of secondary school is required.
2. Job requires prolonged standing, handling patients, walking day to day affairs of the clinic.
3. Completion of a two-year physical therapy assistant (PTA) college program, or a two-year rehabilitation therapy assistant program and supervised practical training, will be given preference.
4. Minimum working experience of 0 -1 years in the preceding years before applying for this job.
5. Ability to multi-task, remain cool and keep up in a fast-paced environment.
6. Flexible to work evenings and weekends and holidays.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: PERMANENT, FULL TIME AND NON-SEASONAL
• Hours per week: 30
• Work schedule (regular Monday – Friday or per need basis): additional hours of workload may be required as per the requirement by the office. Normal Workday will be from 10am to 5 pm
• Language of work: English, working knowledge of any other additional languages will be an
asset
• Wage: $54,990 / year salary, $ 35.25 hourly
