We are a growing construction company based in Belleville, Ontario, seeking motivated and hardworking individuals to join our team as Construction Trades Helpers and Labourers for the 2025 season. These positions will be based out of Belleville but may involve travel to other parts of the province as the need arises.
Key Responsibilities:
• Load, unload and move construction materials and transport them to work areas.
• Assist skilled tradespeople (such as carpenters, bricklayers, and heavy equipment operators) by providing necessary materials and tools.
• Clean and prepare construction sites, ensuring safety standards are met by removing debris and potential hazards.
• Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
• Operate and maintain construction equipment and tools under the guidance of skilled tradespeople.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, and other temporary structures.
• Perform manual labour tasks such as digging, leveling, and backfilling.
• Follow safety protocols and wear protective equipment at all times to ensure a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or foremen.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Secondary or higher education is required
• Previous experience in construction or manual labour is an asset but not required. We provide on-the-job training.
• Ability to follow a set work schedule as instructed by the supervisor.
• Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that projects are completed properly
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces if required.
• A valid driver's license is an asset but not mandatory.
Requirements:
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Must adhere to all health and safety regulations on the construction site.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, if required.
