Job Summary:
We are a growing construction company based in Belleville, Ontario. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Floor Covering Installer to join our team. As a Floor Covering Installer, you will be responsible for laying and installing various types of flooring materials, ensuring precision, quality, and customer satisfaction in every project.
Key Responsibilities:
• Measure, Cut, and Install: Accurately measure, cut, and install carpeting, resilient floor coverings, engineered and solid hardwood, luxury vinyl, and laminate flooring.
• Preparation: Prepare floors for installation by removing existing coverings, underlay, and contaminants. Install underlay, underpadding, baseboards, and transitions.
• Inspection and Repair: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings as required.
• Tiling: Experience with tiling is an added benefit.
• Load and Unload: Assist with loading and unloading trucks with supplies and equipment (30-50lb boxes).
Qualifications:
• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required
• Work should be completed at the physical location.
• Experience: minimum 1-2 years of experience in construcation or similar field
• Skills: General knowledge of floor covering materials, installation techniques, and safety procedures. Must have communication, customer service, and time management skills.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods.
• Attention to Detail: High level of precision and care in every aspect of the installation process.
• Tools: Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools associated with floor covering installation.
