Title of the position: Sous-Chef - NOC 62200.
Number of positions available: one.
Term of employment: 30h to 40h per week – full time – permanent position.
Language: English or French.
Wage: C$18.00 per hour.
Benefits: Extended Health and Dental benefits will be offered after 6 months of continuous employment.

Job Duties

• Assisting the Kitchen Manager in overseeing daily kitchen operations.
• Supervising and mentoring kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food preparation.
• Leading the team during peak hours and ensuring smooth execution of meal service.
• Maintaining inventory levels, placing orders, and minimizing food waste.
• Enforcing and upholding hygiene and food safety protocols.
• Assisting in the training and development of kitchen staff.
• Monitoring food presentation and consistency to meet Cora’s quality standards.
• Collaborating with management to improve kitchen efficiency and implement new procedures.
• Handling any kitchen-related issues in the absence of the Kitchen Manager.
• Performing additional duties as required to maintain smooth kitchen operations.

Requirements
• 1 to 2 years experience as a sous-Chef or Cook.
• High School Diploma.
• Familiar with industry best practices.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Organizational skills.
• Accuracy and speed in executing tasks.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Follow direction and instructions.
