Job Duties:
-Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required;
-Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently;
-Clean and maintain kitchen and work area in practicing good safety and sanitation;
-Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes;
-Estimate and order supplies and ingredients as needed in the kitchen to meet requirementsof restaurant’s daily operation;
-Maintain inventory and record of food, supplies and equipment;
-Schedule, supervise and train kitchen helpers’ duties on kitchen procedures/policies;
-Assist Kitchen Manager to oversee kitchen operations;
-Work as a team during service, helping other Cooks when necessary;
-Assist Kitchen Manager for selecting kitchen staff and train new cooks;
-Perform any other responsibilities as may be assigned by Kitchen Manager from time totime.
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation
Experience: Cook or related restaurant experience is an asset. Training will be provided.
