(Sous Chef)
We are looking for an Sous Chef for Georgian Bay Family Restaurant located at 401 Hume St, Collingwood, ON L9Y 1W7, Canada Canada.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient food preparation and service.
Prepare and cook complete meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, consistent with the restaurant’s homestyle menu.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing direction, training, and support to maintain a productive and cohesive team.
Participate in menu planning and the development of new dishes that align with the restaurant’s family-friendly atmosphere.
Ensure all food meets established quality, portion, and presentation standards.
Manage inventory by ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing food waste.
Uphold strict food safety and sanitation standards in compliance with local health regulations.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and respond to customer feedback related to food quality.
Assist with staff scheduling and performance assessments to maintain a high-performing kitchen team.
Support cost control measures by managing portion sizes and optimizing use of ingredients.
Foster a positive, respectful kitchen environment that reflects the restaurant’s values of hospitality and quality.
May perform any other duties as assigned
Prerequisites:
Education: Secondary School Certificate or equivalent experience
Experience & Skills: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
Annual Salary: $53,200 to $57,000 for 30 to 40 Hours per week
Terms of Employment: Fulltime and permanent
Benefits: 4 % Vacation Pay
