Located in the historical Stockyard district of Toronto, St. Helen’s is one of the largest family owned and operated federal meat establishments in Canada. For decades we have processed beef, veal, lamb, and poultry to the exact specification of our customers.
Right now we are looking for two Wholesale Meat Cutters to join our work team.
Job Duties:
-Cut, debone, and trim the meat into pieces according to internal requirements.
-Use saws, power-cutting tools and different knives.
-Cleans, weighs, packages and labels meat for sale.
-Check the condition and freshness of meat regularly; monitor expiration dates to ensure quality and reduce waste.
-Keep all tools, display areas, and workstations clean, organized, and in line with hygiene and operational standards.
-Orders and monitors meat stock.
-Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations to maintain a secure and compliant working environment.
Requirements:
-High School Diploma (preferred).
-7 months to 1 year of experience is required.
-Ability to work without supervision and work as a team.
-Repetitive tasks within a fast-paced environment.
-Ability to stand and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
