In 2017, we started our business importing high-quality fresh fruits for Vancouver consumers while providing a reliable market for passionate fruit growers and suppliers. Now we have expanded our product categories to a wide variety of seasonal & non-seasonal agricultural products from around the world to Canada, while we are also able to deliver premium Canadian local products to consumers in other countries.
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Marketing Manager to lead our marketing efforts at a fast-growing online agricultural trading company.
Job Duties:
1.Lead the company’s marketing operations with a focus on digital platforms, monitor evolving customer needs in the agricultural supply chain, and analyze competitors within the online agri-trading sector to refine positioning and strategy.
2.Provide both short- and long-term market forecasts and performance reports by overseeing the collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data—particularly related to commodity trends, pricing, and international trade demand.
3.Identify new applications and target customer segments for existing agricultural products and services by analyzing market development statistics and collaborating with internal stakeholders (e.g., sales, logistics) and external partners (e.g., producers, distributors).
4.Evaluate and implement optimal communication channels and media strategies to support integrated digital campaigns—including social media, B2B e-commerce platforms, and email marketing—while ensuring alignment with sales objectives and performance metrics.
5.Define clear marketing goals and performance indicators, and lead cross-functional collaboration with the content, design, and technology teams to deliver effective campaigns and user-focused online experiences for buyers and suppliers.
6.Manage the annual marketing budget, plan and track expenditures, analyze campaign ROI, and recommend or implement strategic adjustments to improve efficiency and impact.
7.Cultivate and manage relationships with key external stakeholders, including agricultural cooperatives, trade show organizers, government export programs, and industry associations; determine the company’s presence at trade fairs, virtual expos, and sector-specific events.
8.Build and lead a high-performing marketing team by recruiting, training, and developing staff with a strong understanding of both marketing principles and the agricultural commodities landscape.
Qualifications:
1.A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Marketing, Business Administration, or Commerce is required.
2.Three years of experience in marketing or a similar role is required.
3.Proven experience in creating and executing integrated B2B marketing plans and campaigns.
4.Proficient in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO/SEM tools, CRM systems like HubSpot or Salesforce, social media marketing tools.)
5.Ability to craft and tailor messaging for diverse customer segments: farmers, distributors, wholesalers, and international buyers.
6.Skilled in data analysis and market research; ability to interpret complex datasets to drive strategy.
7.Proactive and results-driven; able to manage multiple campaigns and projects within budget and deadlines.
